Short below 6046 ! But maintaining to short at 6044 !

Short at 6044, went down upto 6020 ! Exited one lot at 6022 and 2nd lot at reversal to long above : 6030

Gain : Net 20+12= 32, in first trade short ! We are long in 2 lots at 6030

Dear Umeshji,
yesterday inventory data may pushed the crude value up till 6060. Is the effect of the inventory data will be felt today?

Subrat, I have no idea about inventory related moves or trades. I try my best to be with my 'charts. !

Long reversed to short at 6022 ! A loss of 20 points ! (-20) !

Now profit in hand 12 points ! Would like to exit 1 lot asap as moves are roller coaster type if SL/SAR remains big !!

Short at 6022 did a low of 6022 ! Yes, in fact as short was triggered at 6022, it did not move down any further !

Reversed to long at 6031 ! Gave a loss of further 22 points! Now have a Loss of 10 points in hand.

Long at 6031 did a high of 6045 and went short at 6033 ! Thus NPNL in this long. We still have 10 points Loss !

Short at 6033 did a low of 5993, an opportunity of 40 points! Exited 1 lot at 22 points at 6011 and second lot at 6001 simply a bit above a round figure and more so because of the nature of the moves in crude today. These exits were giving me a Profitable day hence did not trade further . This last trade gave 20+30 points thus the final score : Plus 40 !
Further trades would have resulted in a gain of ~20 more points !

The lesson is : Be much more careful on "Inventory days" ! I must confess that I was not aware about the inventory day trades and this was brought to my notice by the New thread MCXRocker :

Could not trade Crude as was too engrossed in Nifty !

Trades today in Crude though not taken :
Long above 6042 , did a high of 6069
Short below 6052, did a low of 6033

Trading in short with SAR at 6048

Short was reversed to Long at 6048 and did a high of 6061
Long was reversed to short at 6044 and then what a move : low 5988 a 56 points one way down move ! Missed it....

Would have been a good day ! Seems in hind sight that should have traded after NSE was closed ! Anyways a lesson learnt by not encashing almost 80 points profit today !

Have been concentrating on NSE ! Did not trade Crude. However as per charts these would be the trades :
12th May
Long: 5984 high 5989 Loss 14 points
Short:5978 low 5972 Loss 12 points
Long : 5983 high 6020 Gain (Exit 1 lot at 6005 and 2nd at SAR, Gain 20+18=38 points)
Short : 6003 Low 5985 Gain/Loss : NIL
Long : 6001 High 6009 Loss 18 points
Short : 5994 Low 5982 Exit 5998 : Loss 8 points.
Net score on 12th : Loss 14 points.

13th May :
Long 6007 High 6037 Exit 2 lots at 6029 ! Gain 38 points.
Short 6027 Low 6009 Gain: 12 points
Long 6019 High 6060 Gain 20+22=42 points.
Short 6043 Low 6008 Gain 20 + 10=30 ponts
Exit 6031
Score : ~120 points !
