Over the long weekend, I decided that the only safe way to trade this is to just concentrate on the Index futures and failed trades. Decided to trade only Nifty, Bank Nifty, ICICI and Rel Cap.


Today, 03/11

Strangely, even during the 2nd attempt, Reliance Capital trade hit stop loss for the day.

I know I could have traded later in the day to recover my losses in Nifty, Bank Nifty and Reliance Capital. But that's the point. When I don't trade, it becomes a winner. When I do trade, I end up in losses.

Net Loss for 03/11 = Rs 12,155.50

TOTAL LOSS IN 3 DAYS = Rs 30,387.10

It's seems like this system wants to cause me great losses (Rs 30,000+ in just 3 days) every time I place a REAL Trade. On paper, it worked so great. Is it just me or what ???!

As I have programming experience before, I took a look at the code.

These lines

Buy=(Buy3 AND trades2 AND isSlopeUP AND (NOT Ref(Buy3,-1) AND NOT Ref(Buy3,-2) AND NOT Ref(Buy3,-3) AND NOT Ref(Buy3,-4) AND NOT Ref(Buy3,-5))) ;

Short=(Short3 AND trades2 AND isSlopeDN AND (NOT Ref(Short3,-1) AND NOT Ref(Short3,-2) AND NOT Ref(Short3,-3) AND NOT Ref(Short3,-4) AND NOT Ref(Short3,-5))) ;

indicate to me that the Buy and Sell variable assignments do take place. I also did check to see that these lines were NOT commented out. Every thing seems to look ok and I am thoroughly stumped.

Anybody has these issues. I am currently using the trial version of the Amibroker. Can that be the source of this problem ?

Strangely,

I just started today trading with Dhiraj's method and I am in profit today. I just bought ICICI shares and sold it immediately after 0.5% profit in Equity.

Do not know about Futures.

Me too getting the same error. I think it is not an issue with the code but we have to know the usage of back testing ?

Can you please suggest us and also if possible please do backtesting as I am very new to trading and I do not have enough historical data with me.

Sheer bad luck. Of all the stocks that I tracked and did NOT trade, they had a success rate of 100%. That's right! Not even a single failure. The stocks that I did end up trading had a miserable success rate. As simple as that.
