Hi All

Any update.

My BFD starts working but it is w/o NSE so useless.

Try the following link, it is real time not only for Nifty but for other scrips on NSE and MCX as well

h t t p : //w w w. bazaartrend. com / nsecharts /intraday_free. php? cat = NSE & subcat = NIFTY&B1=Go (for newbies: remove in between space)

something i would like to share with the rest of you.
Even the best candlestick patterns have a 50 % success rate.
so it is also good to know the fundamentals of the company before
investing money

A hangman was formed on the nifty daily chart on friday. today nifty opened with a bearish candle giving us confirmation.

This eventually formed an evening star formation on the nifty daily chart today. :thumb:

I don't think that today was a good evening star. Wherever I have looked up the definition of Evening Star, it begins with a large green candle, followed by a pivot, and then a red candle which ends in the middle of candle 1. I think that for the pattern to qualify as Evening Star, we will have to combine the candles of 24th and 25th Jan and consider them as candle 1.

Here's the definition from investopedia, check it out against today's pattern.

Great initiative Pravi. Very helpful posts and charts. Just finished reading the thread.

Please continue posting your nifty charts and trades along with your comments.
Write about losses due to wrong/failed/fake signals etc as these are also important.
