TooCool, To answer your question, no, in India no certification is required to train people for money. In Mumbai, there so many ads for various trading seminars, systems which promise 3 digit return annul return, or the trainer claiming that he has made more than a crore, but now is doing this for helping people (but will teach you only if you pay him)
I met a senior citizen (70+) who attended a seminar teaching 5 minutes breakout. He learnt candlestick patterns there, and was told about money and risk management and some clichés about trading psychology. He has paid 6K for the seminar. I had incidentally met another guy who too had done the same seminar and claimed that the it was not at all helpful. He also showed me the notes, which were the most basic.
In essence, if one has a consistent track record making money month after month or atleast for 9/10 months of the year for a period of atleast 3 years and has a passion to teach, it will be helpful for both : the trader/trainer and the student.
So in essence, a CMT can be a trainer. But how good system he can teach is the question. (And by teaching, I am not talking about chart patterns - that anybody can learn on the net) My 2C.
after obtaining certificate for Technical Analysis , can one start training other people for money or start giving call service ??[/QUOTE]
