SHORTED IDFC JAN FUTURES at 100.65
nd BOUGHT BACK AT 100.4 with a profit of 500rs

TOTAL PROFIT 360.19(after taxes)

TRADE 4 :

sold GAIL JAN FUT at 381 n bought back at 380

TRADE 5 :

sold GAIL JAN FUT at 381.6 n bought back at 379.15

for a total profit of Rs. 1460.35(after taxes)


(i bought back the first time mistakenly when i was trying to set stop loss)

TRADE 7 :

LONG NIFTY JAN FUT @ 4718.45
n exited @ 4723.25

for a total profit of Rs.75.85( after taxes)


the idea was to go to 4750 but cut the position as the indicators gave a sell call

TRADE -8

SHORTED IDFC JAN FUT AT 101.75 n bought it back for 103.05

TRADE -9

went LONG on IDFC JAN FUT at 102.75 n sold at 101.10

TOTAL LOSS for today (after taxes) 6183.79

(Idea for the 1st trade was their was a resistance at 101.9 n then the stop loss hit on the short trade )

(Idea for the 2nd trade was since it broke resistance n their was an inverse head n shoulder pattern n gave a break out
Unfortunately, the stop loss just hit at 101.10 n then went up,

i still believe that the LONG TRADE it still on )

i made many mistakes today

shorted when the indicators didnt tell me to short


will follow the rules from next time....hard lesson learnt

Why don't you trade in Nifty Futures. I think the momentum of Nifty can be much better speculated than individual stocks.

My own suggestion is If you want to trade in Futures, then trade in Nifty or Bank Nifty. And if you want to trade in stocks, then do it in cash, not in futures.

Actually short call was a scalp trade as it faced resistance...
n the loss of 2300 from the trade was acceptable(coz many time this trade pays off )

the 2nd trade was a bit too quick but i did that coz all the infra basket did well n the inverse head n shoulder pattern is a very strong indication n the stock also seemed to get out of a falling wedge pattern

i still think it will rise to 105 & 110 finally, but difficult to hold on when the loss were pilling up

hey today made 1625.60rs

i dont exactly remember the trade levels,but all scalping trades

made 3 trades

1.long on hdfc jan fut for a profit of around 300rs

2 n 3. went long on tata steel jan future for profit of around 1300

total profit was 1625.60

traded commodities for the 1st time today

was too anxious to trade

made mistake,as i didnt know commodities dont behave like stock

anyways, went long on crude at 5279 n
stop loss triggered at 5271 within 1-2 mins

total loss was 1072.37

made many mistakes today

went long of mini-nifty future at 4877 n then again
i bought another lot instead of selling it at 4844

n sold both at 4848

loss of round 650rs


end of the day made some money

went long on tata steel JAN future at 386.85 n sold at 389
profit round 950rs


total profit at 288.05 for the day
