Secret of NIFTY movements

#1
Dear all,
Anybody tells about the NIFTY ups and downs?
If the NIFTY-50 shares will down then the NIFTY down. OK.
If RIL , ONGC , INFOSIS, BHARTI, TCS these 5 heavyweight stocks are in +ve, then other 45 stocks are in -ve, then what is the NIFTY movement?
+ve or -ve?
If the other 45 stocks rose around 1% , If the 5 heavyweight stocks down 5% then what is the NIFTY position?
Pl.explain the NIFTY movement very clearly compared to 50 stocks.
Before that can I write my doubt clearly?
regards,
naren

Based on impact cost from NSE website, these five stocks weigh around 8.5%.

Your assumption:
These five stocks go down 5% and remain are at standstill.
Then Nifty goes down by
100-[91.5 + (8.5*.95)] = 0.425%

Dear gv,
Thank you verymuch for your explanation. But, my aim to find out the exact NIFTY movements with help of NIFTY-50 stocks.
I think the above 5 stocks trade -5% NIFTY should down more than
-5%. Eg. check the friday movements.(18.01.2008).
Pl.check the all NIFTY 50 stocks with impact cost related to NIFTY movements, in any one of your free working day.
I think weightage is more important than Impact cost.
Any body clearly tells about the NIFTY movements?

There is actually more to this 'secret', however, one has to keep it a 'secret' because once out it wont be a 'secret' anymore
Sir I was just being sarcy above. Unlike mere mortals like us, your tick feed into custom index, sentimentors and NN will give out a "secret magic" concoction for sure.
BTW good to see u here again!

cheers

Tell me how will u use the formula if u get........?
If I see a use I can try to give u an idea in excle.
Dear friend,
I dont know to method of using the formula. But, I belive that NIFTY will move depends upon share price movement.
But, big question is how will it move? Depends upon turnover, share volume, market wt, impact cost....ect.
Eg: our friend said the 5 share down 5% each the market will down 0.4%( 20 points down @NIFTY 5000 level).
but, as per A/D ratio 45/5 =9:1. So, NIFTY in Green?
Now, I think Wt. is betterthan A/D line.
Buy, this way we eliminate one by one and we get one good formula.
