Reliance Natural Resources Fund

Hi,

Have invested 5 lacs in reliance naturals- growth MF, in march this year.. I would like to know whether I can keep it for next two years or sell it.

Its a very large sum.

Most of the advisor here will recommend you to stay invested for more than 3 years in any fund.
I guess it is relatively new fund, so what gurus recommend will be interesting.

This fund has already come at half of its rate since March'08. If u sell it before march next, you will not only loose half of the amount but have to pay 10% tax as well. I would strongly advise you to stay invested and, in fact, forget for at least 2 yrs. May be in 2011-12 this fund may show miracles. Being its exposure in natural resources - there is good chance of this fund of outperforming in next 2-3 yrs.
