QTStalker on UBUNTU Linux and its working...

Hi guys

Just wanted to share my experience... I have successfully installed QTStalker on my UBUNTU Linux on laptop, and its working great...
I have integrated it with bhavcopy EOD downloads using php, and the product works awesome...

I have attached the screenshot...

How about a little know-how on how you did it

OK...

Here are the steps:
1. Install UBUNTU (Hardy 8.04) :thumb:
2. Add the following lines to the end of your /etc/apt/sources.list file

    deb     [url]http://www.zwets.com/debs[/url]    unstable/
    deb-src [url]http://www.zwets.com/debs[/url]    unstable/

3. Then type the following commands in Terminal

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install qtstalker libqtstalker0 qtstalker-quote-plugins build-essential

This will get Qtstalker installed (latest version 0.36), and you'll be up and running in no time...

QTStalker now with RealTime

great news, I have coded and integrated Real Time Data in QtStalker
Now i dont need Windows... and no proprietory software... for Trading...
100% Linux and OpenSource... Both EOD and RealTime integrated...

Attached is a sample screenshot of RealTime Data in QtStalker...

Which realtime feed do u use in QStalker? paid or free?

I use Racepro 4.3 (tradeanywhere) and Odin Diet 9.x in Kubuntu 9.04 using wine. both work fine.

I dont use wine...(that means dependence on windows
and I wanted my configuration to be 100% Open Source... which I did eventually :clap:

I take feeds from Sharekhan, since I have a trading account in Sharekhan...
But I have also tested quotes from nseindia dot com (are NSE india quotes realtime or delayed???), and it worked great...

2. Unless you are a commercial subscriber, there will be a delay.
