learn, then trade very small amount, then again learn ,repeat the process again and again ,it will not prove gambling
How many people do you know who have the patience to go through what you have said?

Everyone wants money quickly. And there lies the gambling issue.

Unless a trader spends 3 years developing, testing and trading systems with real money, he cannot make it his profession. But then, there are the exceptions to thee rules, who make a billion in their first year.

You can say that every business is a calculated gamble.:)
M not agree a genius person won million from Lasbeghas casino by mathematical formula...... Is he not a gambler?
Not all business involve gambling. For example, consider Boiler Section of
BHEL, they have backlog orders of few years. There the objective is clear
to clear orders.No gamling.
On the other hand ,take example of Scientists in ONGC.They have given
task of identifying OIL.They in turn give probable STRUCTURES favourable
for oil accumulation ,after studying different indicatators.Of course ,nobody
knows 1.5km inside the Earth and confirmed by drilling only.It can be DRY,
GAS or OIL.But they are not gamblers.

Why bother proving whether trading is gambling or not ?

Let people who think Trading is gambling think it as a gambling and employ gambling strategies to make money and be happy.

Let other quants who consider it to be quantitative profession build quant strategies to make money and be happy.

Govt has treated Trading income to be considered as speculative income.
Hence govt has indirectly hinted that trading is gambling .

After I lost everything I felt trading is gambling. Now as I am out of the market and doing research, learning new things, I have started feeling that trading is not gambling. There are people who regularly make money every day, every month, every year. And there are such people on this forum too. And if this is true, than how can trading be called gambling.

Thanks.
go through my thread and thread of mr k.raaja, then we will try to solve your problem ,so that you can re enter in the commodity market, with out loosing single panny, for that try to follow k.raaja live trades ,to re built confidense, on mop basis thanks

Well Friend I have a simple answer.

Do you think the casinos in Las Vegas are gambling......?
I don't think so.....

MGM Grand , Bellagio , Mirage....and so on haven't grown into multibillion dollar casinos by gambling. The house never gambles , but people do. When averaged over long time , they consistently win , and people as a whole loose.
So its not simple 1:1 probability game...they do have an edge.

So what's there secret. Simple .....they are not gambling , they are professional experts in their job.
