For mkt to rise most large caps have to rise, hdfc alone or any one stock for that matter can't do anything.

Hdfc might help taking market up for a day or two. Medium term sentiments are downward trends though.

So I attended an option seminar near Mumbai over the weekend to know what goes on these days

Must say such seminars were a massive waste of time/money years back and it's no different today. The only thing good was the venue but then I could have just paid for the room and enjoyed the weather instead of listening to wannabe hedge fund managers with no clients Interns at my office have more skill / experience! Or maybe I chose the wrong one to attend.

I am sure there's more relevant info available on TJ and that too free of cost
