I will suggest Fibotrader, its free and has all basic functionalities.

use ChartNexus. excellent tool, but in free only EOD data is possible.

jstock is very nice program and has few inbuilt technical scans...i was wondering if someone has managed to add more such scans???i tried to use their 'block diagram programming' to make more but unable to get desired results.

i tried and tested fibotrader .it felt like kinda outdated as you have to add daily EOD manually.i think i will stick with jstock+chartnexus for now but thanks for sharing .
