Hello all,

Recently I have swichted to day trading instead of intraday for equity markets, but I cannot find any good indicator which can help me make my day trading more efficient. I have tried using trix, macd, and few other overbought/oversold ocillators.

Can you guys please tell me any reliable indicator I can use for my purpose, I am currently using metastock end of day for the analysis.

Thanks,
Sam.

It is not to discourage you but the fact is 90% day traders are LOSERS.
That means rest 10 % are SUCCESSFUL. That is a pretty positive number. But it is very tough to be in that 10 % league and stay there. Tough but achievable. So let us all work towards that goal.:)

Hi smart_trade,

Everybody wants to be in that 10% but end up in 90%.
Beg to differ here my friend,if everyone ends up in 90% then there will be nobody in 10 % .

And everyone does not want to be in 10 % because if they strongly want to be in 10 % they will take efforts and do everything what it takes to be in 10 %. My experience shows that though all say they want to succeed in trading, they in their heart dont have that passion to succeed in the markets.

People come to trading for variety of reasons such as they want to make more money with less work, they want to satisfy their gambling instinct, socialise in other loosers and be happy that he is a smaller looser compared to others, they have a need for others attention and sympathy. And market has thousands of its own ways to satisfy anf fulfill every ones needs.

So if some one really wants to be successful,he will find out ways of doing that in the market.

Just put my views, everybody may not and need not agree:D

Best wishes.
