Dear Friends,

I caught up with ABN Amro broking
Their offer:
1) 0.5 % for delivery
2) 0.04% for intraday
3) Online IPO, All stocks irrespective of category
4) 3-1 acct [banking, trading, demat]
but troublesome aspect is Anual maintenence Charges [AMC] 500

Due to the AMC, I'm still thinking whether to go for it or not.
hi jala,

1: any minimum brokarage chareges per trade/scrip.
2: do they provide a zero balance sb a/c.

Nope, none was assured by Abn amro,

fyi, Today, I filled forms to open Acct with 5paisa.com

0.25% Delivery
0.04% Intraday with no commitments of volume.
Only prob is they don't have auto-square off facility.

Tips:
go to 5paisa.com and fill in your details in contact page.
They'll ping within 1 week.

Negotiate, Negotiate and Negotiate
I started with 0.5% and could get till 0.25%, though nothing is mentioned on-paper [which is my experience with Ibulls too.]

It helps to have a friend, who has Acct in 5paisa.com.
In my case, he was offered 0.2% and I had involved him too in bargaining.

I'll keep posting on any good things, I come to know.

All the best to you all.

Hello Everyone,

I am new to trading. Have just opened an account with UTI Sceurities for ONline trading.

Could you please let me know the Online The Brokerage Charges are for a BUY AND SELL TRANSACTION. I understand for ICICIDIRECT, the intraday rates are 0.1 for a buy and 0.1 for a sell transaction

Can anyone tell me how to calculate brokerage?
will be of great help to me
(poor in maths):D
Take out a contract note, and do the following calculation-

Total Brokerage*100/Amount

Ex.:10 ICICI @760 and total brokerage 38. Then

38*100/7600=.5 Rs.

This means broker charges 50 Paise on every 100 rs.

Now if u purchase 50 NTPC @158 how much shall be the brokerage-

Gross Amount=50*158=7900

. .on 100 rs brokerage is .5 rs
.

. on 7900 rs brokerage shall be .5*7900/100=39.5 rs
. .

brokerage charged=39.5 rs.
