Can somebody please enlighten me how Zerodha provides cheaper trading costs?

I plan on trading 20 contracts of Nifty futures intraday, RKG offers Rs 9 per lot which works out to
95*20 = Rs 1900 per trade (in and out)

Whereas, Zerodha based on their brokerage calculator, works out to Rs 1829.

Since, other fees (STT, Education cess, stamp duty and such) are the same, the only difference is brokerage charged??

For 20 FUTIDX contracts,
RKGlobal -> 20*9 = Rs 180
Zerodha ->20+20= Rs 40

What am I missing? Please enlighten?

Thanks in advance

RKG charges 9 per LOT and Zerodha charges 20 per TRADE.
The distinction between LOT and TRADE is to made here.
If you trade 20 lots in a go ,RKG charges 9*20=180 but Zerodha
charges 20/- since one trade is involved.
If you are trading less than 3 lots not in a go RKG is cheaper ,otherwise
Zerodha is cheaper.

Hi Doc,

We can definitely provide currency trading on NOW, but presently the focus was to provide the best place to trade equities and f&O ... Eventually we have to offer all the various actively traded contracts from currency to commodities...
eagerly waiting for ur commodity trading to start ..
and data feed to start ..

Hi KP, the difference is:

When you buy and sell 20 lots , you are paying 180 rs buying and 180 rs selling, u pay 360 and you pay 10% of this as service tax(Rs 36)... .

When you buy and sell with us, you Pay 20 +20, Rs 40 and service tax of Rs 4....

So basically the service tax you pay with RKG on your brokerage would be all the brokerage you will be paying with us.. .

Cheers...

hai zerodha

yesterday i transfer money to zerodha account but still not credited

my acc no:000000000000

thankx in advance
I wonder how many people are busy trying to hack your account after you have mentioned your account number on a public forum.

STD now costs 50 paise per minute. Why not spend 2 rs and call and ask? instead of giving account numbers on forum.

Talk about saving money! Zerodha has some big penny pinchers with them too :)

Shorting of stocks can be done only on intraday basis, not possible on an overnight basis...

Cheers...
