hello every one..
am pretty new to share market and in need of some assistance in calculating brokerage charges

am a PIB user

in my E-contract note brokerages are as follows-

1)buy price:68.15
quantity:50
brokerage:2 (qty*borkeragrate i.e 50*.04=2 thats what am assuming)

2)where as in second situation it is cal as
buy price:2439.00
qty:1
brokerage:0.9756( qty*brokeragerate*price) ->this is what i seen in various
posts.

which one is the right way to cal'ate
cal (1) with (2) formula will give a brok' of 1.363

is there any minimum slab for brokerage charges..?

waiting for responce
THANKS IN ADVANCE...

Hello,

Including STT, Server TAX and all other taxes actual brokrage increases by 25%. Means if brokerage charged by your broker for intraday is 0.04% then you will have to pay 0.05% including all charges for one side.

If you have purchased 100 shares of ABC company which is trading at 1000
then you have purchased shares of 1 LK rs. In this case brokerage charged will be

(1 lk/100) * 0.005 = 50 rs.

Same brokerage will be charged while selling the shares.

0.04% is just an example it could be 0.04 or 0.03 .

Happy Trading...

I guess .04% is your brokerage with a minimum brokerage of 4 paise per share.

1) Buy Price 68.15; Qty 50.

Here if they calculate on % basis, brokerage will be Re. 1.363/- i.e. .0272 per share it is less than minimum brokerage i.e. 4 paise. So calculation will be 50(qty)*4paise= Rs. 2/-

2) Buy Price 2439; Qty 1.

Brokerage will be 2439*.04%= .9756/-, it falls above minimum brokerage of 4 paise. So here calculation will be on % basis.

I hope you could understand this...

It sounds like they said one and doing other...
You must contact the representative of Indiabulls. Most probably there will some thing as minimum brokerage with India bulls. If he said, no minimum brokerage... he should be new to India bulls or he should have lied you to get an account.

you sure about the minimum brokerage in indiabulls.:(.?
Yeah, I am sure unless or until India bulls come up with the new plan by not charging minimum brokerage. Minimum brokerage is more common among brokers. You can find this with almost all of the brokers. There are few exceptions...

Usually in Indiabulls the minimum brokerage is always 0.05 or 5 paisa . So dont know how you got charged this rate of 4 paisa.

Always to waive off minimum brokerage you must have a minimum margin of 1 lakh in your account. This plans is usually offered by the branch manager and not the RM.So you can escalate if you want to.

But I am being charged the minimum brokerage of 1 paise even though I have much less than 1 lakh as margin amount. I have opened the account recently and when I asked the RM about min. brokerage, he said he would do it 1paise.
