Thanks chinthan and others.
The MoneyControl Page works well but slowly, considering the number of banners and pop-ups we have to negotiate. Still considering all info is in one place, cant complain much.

A blank page/ tab keeps opening everytime I webresearch on Moneycontrol through AB. Any idea how to implement a 'block pop-ups' feature on IE within Amibroker?

Its a pain that AB is linked to IE and cannot support Firefox, Opera....sigh

this is what the vererable TJ has to say:
My question is - Is there a way to make firefox the default browser to
open links from the userguide and help links? - Currently they all
open in IE.
Is there a "problem/ system incompatibility/ instability" in choosing
Firefox over IE?
I searched the forum, but didnt find anything that addressed this.

Hello,

In Windows the help files are displayed in HTML Help Viewer
that is Microsoft product (part of Windows actually) and uses IE engine.
Therefore all links from help open in IE, as all links clicked in Firefox open in Firefox.
You can not change it other than convincing Microsoft to
use Firefox :)

FWIW: each and every Windows application must use HTML Help now.
(Previous versions allowed legacy WinHelp files, but with the introduction
of Vista, WinHelp files are no longer supported/opened by Windows).

I tried using the MoneyControl url, but I get a series of runtime error pop-ups. If I cancel these errors, I can see the necessary page.

Can anyone help me fix this please?

Also, can anyone suggest better urls?

Thanks.

I am looking for the correct url to be used in Amibroker webresearch section so that when I select a stock and select webresearch, I get the relevant MoneyControl page for that stock.

I followed the steps mentioned in this thread and used the following url: http://www.moneycontrol.com/stocks/cptmarket/compsearchnew.php?fname=price&companyname={t}

But when I use this, I get a lot of runtime error pop-ups.

Since this thread is old, I am assuming that Moneycontrol would have changed their syntax. I am not sure how to get the corrected url and hence asking for help.
