i've stopped listening to my RM, and i know im making many mistakes in trading, but hope to correct them in due time. can you tell me how to use the right stop loss, ie on a stock of 875 rs where should i put a stop loss?

Traders normally use 2 types of stop losses.

One is the pivot based stops (simply put the previous pivot/s) based on your risk taking capabilities.

Then there are the volatility based stops based on the ATR.

2-3 percent is a good stoploss i suppose,
