This method given by SwingKing is good, I had a similar interest in getting the data for sectorwise, and primarily used Amibroker. But with Yahoo and Google finance giving basic to intermediate charts, I found it more useful/easier using them for basic technicals. Here is the approach,
1) go to http://stocktrendsindia.appspot.com/bse-sector-wise-todays-hot-stocks.html
2) select the sector to visit, and then under each scrip, there is a link which says check the data in google finance. On clicking this link, it will take you to Google finance and you can check all the types of charts with what ever the time period you like.
