Hi,

If I want to protect my shares from any sudden fall and to lock my profit, I need to place a Trailing Stop Loss Sell order every day.

These orders will be cancelled at the EOD. If we have 15 shares then we have to place 15 orders everyday.

Is it possible for any one to write some programe to place these SL sell oreders automaticlly...?

The program should take scrip name , quantity, trigger price from an Excel sheet and has to palce SL sell orders in ICICI direct.

I know excel macros to some extend. Is this is possible to do this with Excel Macros..?

Can any one help on this..?

Or Is there any other way to lock the profit..?

problem i not with excel, problem is with the broker sotware, they cant take orders om files, u need to login, go to their tiny orde mgmt screen and click bunch of keys before the order is sent

indian brokers and NSE is like 50 years behind US markets. why cant we place GTC orders? why cant we place orders from excel? why cant we place conitional orders? why cant i tell where to buy where to sell where to stop in one single order? our guys are lazy arseholes and collect huge brokerage doing nothing

Hi,

You have to use Limit price and Stoploss trigger price to place the order.
Find the image for clear idea.
