Hi ,
I have been using livecharts from eSignal for a month now. This is real time data tick by tick. This is web browser based (usefull for guys trading from office). Attaching snapshots in case anyone is curious.
Features
1.Live Data. No need to refersh. Reliable.
2.Cheap. I pay Rs.1000 per month for NSE. You can have risk free trial for a month.
3. 30+ configurable technical indicators . Can have daily, weekly and monthly charts , apart from intraday charts (its minutes .. ticks not available)
4.No need to install any executables. I also found this to be very fast and least load on my resource (but then i have 2GB of memory, with OS , a few XL sheets and Outlook 2007 running always)
5,Not heavy on bandwidth requirement.
6.Export data to XL.
7.Works with firefox also (no need for buggy IE)
Cons :
1.Web browser based. Cant scroll horizantally/vertically.
2.Pay by CC is only option (and they credit automatically every billing month)
3.You cant save charts.
4.Not dynamic when compared to application based charts.
Conclusion :
This is good if you need basic charting features. This is extremly good for guys who trade using office laptops (no need to install any application). Good for guys sitting in office and trading.
Let me know if you need any other info.
PS: They have issue with NSE INDEX futures as of now, Stock futures are ok.
