Choosing between an ECN (Electronic Communication Network) or STP (Straight Through Processing) broker depends on your trading preferences. ECN offers direct market access with variable spreads, while STP routes orders to liquidity providers. Consider factors like trading style, cost structure, and the broker's reputation when making your decision.
People always prioritize ECN accounts over STP. How can I be more benefited by ECN than STP accounts? Can you please explain?
I trade with fxopen, the broker has ECN and STP accounts. But it’s more convenient for me to trade on ECN, even though there is a spread and a commission on this account, while on the STP account there is only a spread. My opinion is that the ECN account has better execution, probably due to direct market access.
