today open was 4424, between L3, L4

L3= 4421
L4=4438

it went below 4421 couple of times and went till 4396, but we dont know when to exit !! so keep quite. now it starts going up and goes above 4438. assume somehow we exited the shorts. now we need to enter long above 4438. we need to wait for it to above 4438, come down and go up again. waiting for it to go down, it never did !! so i took long at 4448 anyways as i am with the trend. it went up, up, up until 4540 !!!

but how do i know where to exit ? i could have exited at 4450 or 4460 or any number till close

this method is clear on the entry levels, but not on exit !! someone needs to clearly define a trading plan. otherwise we are trading in dark. i am not comfortable with radha's method of 0.5% SL, Profit. we need to know the clear levels. else we may exit too early or too late.

also sunil mentioned about whips. so how to handle them ? he mentioned on 2nd attempt we can enter. but today there was no 2nd attempt for longs. and there are whips on the first short trade !!

Nifty Futures Profit for 21st August 2009.

Nifty Futures opened at 4424.

This is between L3(4438) and L4(4421).

Within 30 sec of market open, the price went below till 4408, giving no chance to enter short at L4.

So we wait for the market to come in range.

At around 11:20am, the price came in range L3 - L4.

We wait for any one side to cross.

Soon at 11:27am, we got price moving above L3.

So we enter long at L3(4438).

We keep next target as L2,L1,H1,H2,H3......

With every level getting achieved we keep below level as stoploss.

After crossing L1 (4450), price went till 4457 and again fall down.

During falling, our trailing stoploss at L1 (4450) gets hit.

So our profit = 4450 - 4438 = 12 points.

Now, went below till 4430.

This is again in range L3 - L4.

so we again enter long at L3 (4438).

This time our targets till H4 gets achieved and we keep our next target at 0.5% of H4 = 4513.455. and trailing

stoploss at H4.

Price went high till 4496 and reversed.

During this reverse, our trailing stoploss gets hit at H4.

So profit = 4491 - 4438 = 53 points.

Now price went below H3.

This is our short call.

So we enter short at H3(4474).

but our stoploss gets hit at H4.

So our loss = 4474 - 4491 = -17 points.

At the same time we enter long at H4(4491).

We keep target of 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%,.....

Our target our 1% get achieved (4535.91).

So our profit = 4435 - 4491 = 44 points.

So total profit = 12 + 53 - 17 + 44 = 92 points.

so profit of 4500+ with one lot of Nifty

Today I made my debut with CAMARILLA. Here are my levels
H4 - 4508
H3 - 4481
L3 - 4426
L4 - 4399

Since this was my debut, I decided to play with 20 pts. In other words I wanted to make small profits and safeguard it. Here is what I did
Trade 1
-------
11.25 AM - Long 4430 SL 4410 Target 4450
Booked in no time 4450 - Gain 20 points

Trade 2
-------
1.20 PM - Short 4480 SL 4495 Target 4460
However covered position at 4464 - Gain 16 points

Did not trade above 4508 for the long break out. I was happy with 36 points on day 1.
I will post my findings going forward each day and learn from gurus.

dear kdhrubo,

your levels are not matchinh with radha's. mine are matching with radha's. i use the excel given in he 1st post and also the website. please check once again. L3 is 4438...

I read all posts in this thread today. Big thanks goes to Rajenraji who initiated this thread and Dr. Sreenivasan. Great inputs!
on first page of this thread a .xls file is given to calculate L1,L2,L3, H1,H2,H3. Somehow when I pasted HLC, my values were not tallying with those of Dr.

For last post on HLC of Aug20, I got values from Ichart and values do NOT match with adlab.

I wish Dr. S comes and throws some light by giving an example on level calculation.

Bandlab2 , please provide us with NSE page link where we can get HLC of previous day. thank you. I think values quoted on Icharts are wrong compared to NSE, and I wonder why.
