Guys,

Plesae find attached trade list (from backtested data) as requested by few members. Do let me know if I can help in any other way other than sharing AFL.

I also would love to learn/discuss ideas to improve this system and make it more profitable.

For starters (and those who are seeking AFL), I'm posting system in simple words. This system is quite simple and one can trade without being in front of computer/terminal.

1. Wait for first 30 mins. Find H/L of nifty future in first 30 mins (say at 9:45)
2. Determine opening range (i.e. different between high & low)
3. Do not trade if opening range is too narrow or big (i.e. less than 10 points or higher than 50 points) -- Alternatively you can have tight SL
4. Buy at H+1 or Short at L-1 (if this does not happen in first 3.5 hours, do not take the trade)
5. keep stoploss suitable to your risk profile. Current setting is (not optimized) 9 points above or below the other side of range.
6. If range is too narrow or too big than use static SL of 48 points (again you can have your own settings depending upon your risk profile)
7. Once system is in profit, you may choose to keep your trailing stop. Current setting is 45 points (again not optimized)
8. close position by EOD i.e. 3:30 (if open -- i.e. not close due to SL or traling SL)

Possible improvements(please suggest)...

1. By adding certain indicators, market profile ... we may decide whether to take trade or not
2. We can implement S/R method for certain days
3. For stops, we can use pivot points

Looknig forward to meaningful discussion.

Regards,

Thanks for elaborating the system in detail. Writing code now becomes so much simpler.

Could you let know what the H+1 and L-1 denote? Is it 1 point move above the high (High of ORB Range) for long and 1 point move below the low (Low or ORB Range)?

Yes, your understanding is correct. Ideally I place two orders after first 30 minutes. Buy at High+1 or Short at Low - 1. When any order is filled, other order needs to be cancled.
