Don't average a loosing position for what ever be the reason. It's suicidal.
He could not be out of their loosing trade without averaging... it can be in 2 ways eighter he should sell at these 4950 around levels and try to buy back at much lower level or he can add another lot around 4700-4750 levels...(a very big support for nifty)..
But he will have to maintain a strict stop loss for both of their positions is around 4560-4580 levevls...rest is RAM BHAROSE... :)

what is the stop loss for the existing lot bought at 5220. Adding at 4700 levels is an above 500 points loss level for this postion (about the same as the margin required fo holding one lot), after losing 500 points, it is ridculous to add and average.

Get oout of losing position, book loss. Wait for the next opportunity to take position either short or long. Holding a loser and dreaming it may one day turn into a profit is disasterous to trading accounts.

What is the leverage that is done here, we do not know. Many traders have a tendency to play with all their capital, it that case margin calls would start getting in by the time the support levels are reached.

By any means please do not average a losing trade, set stop loss levels bfore entering a trade, once that is hit, get out withour second thought. Trading without stoploss will turn trading positions into investments, some time a long term investment.

An analyst is an expert who will know tomorrow why the things he predicted yesterday didn't happen today. :D

It is also said that analysts do not have the guts to trade and traders do not fit to be analysts. It is like news paper reporting, only report after confirmation, by the time the best part of the move is over. That is the reason it is said 'buy on rumors and sell on news'.
