Strong rally expected today..................
European markets shot up, and the US indices followed suit with the Dow recording its highest percent gain in four and a half years. Asian markets have also surged this morning, and a strong global rally has begun, on expectations that the Fed will cut rates on Dec 11. We too can expect large gains today.
The market declined on Wednesday, with the sensex down 188.86 points (0.99%) at 18,938.87, the Nifty 80.60 points (1.41%) at 5,617.55, and the CNX Midcap 83.75 points (1.07%) at 7,745.80.
The number of Hotline stocks at 200-day highs fell from nine to six, while the number at 200-day lows remained zero.
The CNX Midcap index is in an intermediate uptrend, while the main indices are in sideways to up trends.
The sensex has to close below 17465 to end this intermediate uptred which started on 21 st aug @ sensex close of 13989 ..
The major trend of Bajaj Auto has turned up yesterday.
The strong global rally that has started yesterday has already placed a few indices in intermediate uptrends, and the others are not far from doing so. This may lead to an intermediate uptrend here, as well.
The Nikkei and Londons FTSE-100 are in major downtrends, while most of the others remain in major uptrends. However, quite a few indices (particularly from Europe) made lower intermediate tops.
The FIIs sold $65.4 million of stocks on Tuesday, while the MFs acquired $31.9 million. The FIIs are averaging daily sales of $150.4 million over the last five sessions, while the MFs are buying at a rate of $43.2 million.
