How much to expect in the market

With a capital of 2 lacs what should be the average monthly return to be expected consistently . I trade only in futures . . At times I double the capital in a month and some time I loose 50% of the capital . I lack the consistency .Can people share how much they really make out ?

No replies so far ... Is that a really tough one to ask for ?

I guess you should set your targets monthly and check the results weekly. Maybe 10-12% per month is good enough if you are dealing carefully in F&O.

udrstnd dat evry trader has difrnt unmet need wch sets d loss tolerence limits wch again is based on risk taking apetite.supose if v both hav 2 lac of trading capital n u r frm wealthy family,naturaly ur risk taking capacity wil alwys b higher 2 d xtent dat u may b ready 2 melt ur entire capital .so try 2 undrstand ur need n calculate risk reward ratio acordingly.

in general,d average minimum trading/investing returns shud b double of wat d coopretiv banks ofer .a minimum of 2 % average return a month is a must considering d risks involved in trading/investing vis a vas deposits in a cooprativ bank.
