Hello ST sir

Thanks for visiting the thread . . . :thumb:

It might turn out to be v boring for many,
specially most of the only intraday types.

Here the core position/trend won't flip for weeks together.
even for the swing positions (the scale-ins) as we are trading with
a daily perspective, it keeps the scale-ins out of markets for days together.

So no real excitement for fast fingers of the wild west kind . . .

On BNF Daily a bearish closing for the day as highs made during the day could not be sustained . . .

The Swing position stopped out @ 13050 on this last pull-back //reversal after 3:00 PM.

My current level for the trend reversal on Daily is 12630.
The system will keep looking for swing long as the price remain above 12910.

All the levels will be reviewed after tomorrows open.

So BNF Daily Position Long, and Swing no position at close today.

Happy :)

what were the basic entry / exit rules you used for backtesting if ok to share?
Hello Pratap

I trade BNF with 2 systems/methods one for positional and another for swing trading.
For positional system I use Daily Time frame and for Swing trading I use 15 Minutes Charts.

I had planned to trade them independently, but my testing showed that
its better to run the swing system only when it is in sync with the daily TF one.

These systems do not use any mathematical formula or derived logic,
do not refer to or use any other indicators, oscillators etc,
i did experiment with using many things including the VWAP or your multiple day rolling one,
but finally am sticking to the plain and simple trend following using OLHC and volume data.

The systems use a trailing line based on simple price action,
but again it is not something like those various kinds of super trend or kma etc.
MY SR levels are pure PA based, depend on bullish moves or bearish moves and range formations

The Daily is a SAR system, where as the swing one shifts to wait mode till next trigger comes along.
And yes both the systems wait for the close of candles on their respective time frame, so no BO/BD type of trading entries :)

Currently I am focused on the MM & Position Sizing aspect and testing various different ways for scaling in and scaling out of position.

Happy, do u use a hard SL?
Hello Augubhai

At times when moving away from the terminal, I place a SL in the system,
but all my swing/positional trades are to be executed on Close on the candle basis,
so have to wait for the close or near it to exit or reverse.

Execution point of view I am finding it is tougher to wait for close and it would be much easier to just put in SL in the system :)

For daily TF sometime this distance (trading level to close) is huge . . .
But using close reduced the whips / false trades, so logically that is a better option.
