Option strikes not available

Hey Guys,

The markets tank to 4500 in morning trade, and no option strikes are available below 4950. What gives? Is it deliberate ? This is not the first time this has happened.

Given the volatility more strikes should have been made available.

o Nifty most of the times making new bottoms or new highs.
At those times it is obvious that more strikes need to be introduced during the day. A much required convenience for Delta Hedging.

o Also NSE can remove strike on multiples of 50 and maintain only strikes of multiples of 100. Those "50 multiple" strikes are utterly illiquid.
