The Billion Dollar Question

I can't say I have really made any money on the stock market till now but I have not given up. I know someday my interest in trading will pay off. The reason I lost money is because I could not sell my stock in time because my brokerage firm has no one to to even answer the phone during trading hours. The firm is even listed on the stock exchange. I have already arranged to transfer my holdings to another firm.

So the reason I joined this forum is because I want to know if there is a way I can trade intraday and make money regularly. I will be using my own trading platform. Are there websites that really deliver what they promise. Which one is the best in your opinion. I would like those on this forum to respond, as I am sure this will be of benefit to all traders in old India.

What will you do with the billion dollars? As of now $$ does not have any such value ... just being printed and distributed to whoever wants it -- like free leaftets for advertising ...

Check the brokers sections on the main page on the forum .. already a lot has been discused. Browse through it, read the pros, the cons and take your decision ...

If the broker doesn't do what you want, fire the broker. Check the yellow pages, and find a broker that suits your needs.

May be day trading doesn't suite your personality. Have you considered other ways of trading - line Short term swing trades etc?

Why not a TRILLION dollar question ?

To me trading in stocks is just a hobby. I have invested most of my money in deposits and real estate. I have set aside just a negligibly small portion of my capital for trading. When I first started out it was when the market was in the 19000 level and from that level it just dropped to the 7000 level and I even stopped keeping track of my stocks. Actually I would have made a good gain during the recent surge but my brokererage firm in Visakhapatnam had no one to answer the phone for a bout a week and that was when some of my holdings started heading downwards and I couldn't get out with a profit but had to register a small loss. Anyway I am optmistic as I have opened a demat account with a new firm. I think it is just a good pastime which might even prove profitable in time.

Please don't say that about the dollar. If America prospers the world prospers. All this talk about China and India becoming superpowers has got me worried. If India became a super power then we will have temples and cows and garbage everywhere. God save the world and keep countries like India from becoming super powers. The whole world will become one big slum and there will be many slum dog millionaires.
