Yes you can BUY IPO's using your icicidirect.com

You need to first login to your account and go to "modify allocation"! Then allocate the amount of money you would like to reserve for the IPO. Then click on the IPO link at the top and place your IPO order. If the shares ar alloted to you they will be credited to your icici demat account.

Hi Traderji,

i saw 3 bids for initial IPO .
if we enter all the three bids with different amount

for eg: sasken 100 @ 240
100 @ 250
100 @ 260

at what price will they issue ?

if we place order at cut off price , what amount do they charge usually ?

please advise . i placed 100 shares @ 265

hi,

the upper cut-off for Sasken IPO is 260. How you placed an order for 265.

In case of Book building IPOs, a retail investor is given an option to invest at cut-off price. If you have bid at cut-off it means that you are agreeing to purchase the shares at the price decided by the registrars of the issue. The price decided would be between the price band already published (230 to 260 for Sasken IPO). The price is decided based upon all the bids received during the IPO book building period. Usually, all the IPOs these days are getting heavily oversubscribed at the higher cut-off, so they should be charging 260 for the Sasken IPO.
