any advantage of trading from brokers office?

#1
Dear friends,

I would like to ask if anyone is trading full time from a brokers office in ? What are their experiences?

Is their any advantage of going to brokers office and trading everyday as compared to trading from home or home office?

thank you

It depends on what kind of trading you are doing. If you are say vol trader than there is no option but to trade from brokers office.
However if u r investor taking delivery position it is best not to be in brokers office
U r a day trader then u can trade on internet platform but with a tel support as if internet is down losses could be great in case of a poor serving broker.( v few are left)

Thanks.
It all depends when you are active. If at that time i interact with some members then I generally remember their posts.

yes i had read those posts thanks guys, i understand for a ultra short term scalper/jobber its a must to trade from brokers office unless they have a NEAT terminal with vsat installed at their home

but for normal daytraders (not scalpers) is their any advantage?

is any member trading from brokers office for daytrading?

Actually Anurag was the only one here I have encountered who traded in the brokers branch, others prefer online trading from their home. However it is a good backup option in case the branch is nearby. It depends on you capital and the relationship you have with your RM.
people's definition of scalping is different even and depending on the situation may extend the position overnight.
hence there is such an active discussion in the brokers section here on these forums as to which broker is suitable for your needs.
Members have tried all manner of combinations to suit them.

have a brokers terminal like Indiabulls PIB or Sharekhan trade Tiger. People prefer Trader Tiger for options. There is real time streaming of quotes.
Brokerage starts at Rs 100 per lot before tax and around 112.25 after tax. So assuming both buy and sell charges are 250. So break-even is 5 points per lot.
This can be negotiated but depends of location and the relationship with your RM. Discount brokers are there like RKG or even better Zerodha where it becomes Rs 20 per lot before tax. perhaps Breakeven comes to around max 3.
This is better. But read NCFM free material on NSE site and practice using free options software like Options Oracle. i do not trade it myself. But read posts from dani and AW10 .
