Brokerage. which works cheaper for small investors?

#1
I hold a demat with icici. But i find that with the brokerage i really need to sell the stocks at good difference to make a profit after brokerage.
i see that pnb, arthamoney, religare, anandrathi, geojit offer online broking. could somebody give insight on the brokerage and service for small time investors like me who would be interested in knowing which works best for intraday as well ?

it is very true that icici takes a huge part of the profit as the brokerages and other charges. use icici for long term investment.ie stocks u r ready to hold for over a year, and for intraday/swing/short term and medium term trading try angel broking/religare as their brokerages are low.
