hi,

Everyone is commenting the way markets behaved in past but it seems noone can accurately predict how the market will react in future will all that technical analysis on our hands.

let's play a small game.
we will select some stocks and the most learned men of the forum i.e. Legends like Saint. should predict where the stock will be heading for tomorrow/this week/this month. also give reasons and if possible charts for your prediction

i think this will also settle the debate about the usefullness or uselessness of technical analysis ( i am fully supportive of the fundamental analysis)

For starting let's select 6 indicators

1 .sensex.
2. Nifty
3 Powergrid
4. Sail
5. Alembic
6. reliance infra ( why is it that it hits daily uppercircuit of 5%)

regards

well i am invested in alembic only ( buy @ 99). rest of names of stocks i just remember coz they are on the screen of my stock broker ( i use a operator assisted terminal)

this way i can track their movements on a second by second basis, nothing else and decide on my own if the so called technicals work( no offence to the senior legends)

regards

Well IMHO if 5050 does not hold 4800 is the target ... chances of testing last top 4650 are there but very less, unless world market continue tanking... I saw some +ve divergence on hourly on friday which was a +ve sign & had bought nifty, good thing i sold off intraday, but now dow has created problems... if dow was not so down there was a good chance by monday we would have atleast stabilized

now the FM has got excuse, mkt not falling cause of PN but due to world markets... i have some buys & some sells, I will hold the buys & cover the sells on downside, but thats no advice cause my work is high risk so would not advice the same...

thanks for the suggestions,

but we would like to know WHY are you recommending it? that is the reason behind your recommendations, ( like there was a thread , give a man a fish an dyou feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you feed him for life)

The global indicators strongly suggest that there will be a massive sell off around the world on Monday/ Tuesday. India is no exception. Nifty is likely to test 4650 levels in the next two days. This is the time preserve your capital. Please don't try catching a falling knife.
Good luck!
