Why are the stock markets reacting negatively?

Hello Savita,
Was going through some threads and came across your post.
Generally by the time you figure out the 'why's, market's will have already completed the move. Most of the time, unless you are an insider, by the time news comes out(particularly related to an individual stock)the issue in question will already have completed its move.
My general rule of thumb is - if a major announcement is coming, I tend to hold off trading until the news is out and then see how the market reacts...
Other than that, I tend to shut off all news......
because the key is in the 'now', which is reflected in purely in the 'price action'.
Generally speaking, all 'why' questions tend to be endless loop questions, even in any part of life, and they tend us nowhere........
