Hi Murthy,
Thanks for all that input I dont know if i'll find the time to go so far in modifying the program... It looks like if I start all over again it may be better!!
Let's see... it may take some time before you see all the suggestions you mentioned. By the way are you a programmer? I was working on another program to setup Amibroker database easily using information stored in a csv file with the following information :

Symbol Fullname IndustryID Address Group

I got it working today. I want to ad an autoupdate feature to it that's next.

Hathway!!! I have been having a lot of problems with my connection for the past two weeks almost everyday I have to call them@@@**@*@*@*@*!!!!

Thanks for the prompt response.

You may refer to some excel sheets developed by one of our fellow boarder cooltetra. Unfortunately he is not seen much in the forum these days.

He has done importing of intraday data from his excel sheet into AB. I have done a similar exercise for importing the output of his excel sheet into FCharts.

You may look into his program for any possible ideas. It works even now, but I am not presently using it.

You may also refer to another thread by karthikmarar, who has done some exercise on industry assignments into AB. Of course, I was providing support to him also on this.

If you have made your application to work, even with limitations, I may be able to test it and give feedback to you.

As for me I am NOT a programmer by profession, know a bit of Foxpro and nothing more than that. But I love trying new software and checking their functionality.

Pl, make another utility which fetch live futures (INDEX)data 1 sec interval from nse website.

Hope, it will very helpful to traderji members to get RT data to feed AMIBroker.

OK TRY THIS WITH aMIBROKER... mAKE SURE YOU FIRST START aMIBROKER BEFORE STARTING MY APPLICATION OR ELSE IT WILL NOT WORK.
i'LL SEND YOU THE PROGRAM AND A CSV FILE THAT YOU HAVE TO OPEN THEN RUN "Setup Amibroker Database with Info" BY CLICKING THE BUTTON.
yOU WILL HAVE TO CREAT A NEW AMIBROKER DATABASE WITH THE iNDUSTRY AND sECTOR FILES i PROVIDE THEn RUN MY PROGRAM WITH THE ATTACHED CSV FILE TO SETUP AMIBROKER DATABASE.

I found that the NSEIndia.com website did not change the URL but they changed some other parameters therefore I have not included an editable URL for downloads as I promised.
I have added a new autoupdate feature to automatically download EOD and update Amibroker along with Indice update for the day. To use this feature make sure Amibroker is running before starting up NSEBhavCopy downloader. If you start up the downloaded before starting Amibroker you will have to close Amibroker then close the downloader go to the Task Manager and select Broker.exe from the List of processes and click 'End Process'. I have also added some other improvments like the 'From' date automatically changing to one day in advance of the last date Amibroker was updated when you start up the downloader. Please let me know if any problems/bugs appear also any suggestions for improvment are welcome.

I'm working on some improvments and will provide the option to download to different folders in future for now it will download only in the same folder as the program file!!

Hi Preston,

On what OS, Display Resolution and DPI did you run this latest version?

My OS is Viata, Resolution 1280 x 800 and Font size is 120 DPI and I am having display overlap problem. You may run on 120 DPI and check. May be you may have to increase the program window size. to avoid this overlap.
