Effectiveness of option strategies?

Hi,
I wanted to know from someone 'deep' in this trading about the effectiveness of trading options strategies and what are the key factors in a 'live market' for its success?
Like for eg.many of us are members of trading houses/trade-brokers and they give tips/hints on a daily basis.But do these tips need to be followed 'blindly' or
is the 'delta' or 'time-factor' or market momentum which matters?

Hello earthy8,

Never take tips from anyone blindly, that waould be a surefire way to the poorhouse.

Please take time to educate yourself.

All the factors you mention matter, and trading strategies should be adopted as per market conditions and funding available.

The best strategy is obviously where you are making money consistently.
