Browsing with FIREFOX is creating problems. With IE ,it is OK.Using Firefox,we
are missing QUICK LINKS button.(sometimes ?????)
Hi columbus

I wish you are well. I may miss understood your post about the Quick links button.

In the Menu bar from Firefox you have : Tools. In this section you have : Add-Ons.

Press on it and have a look, that you are in : Get Add-Ons section.

There you choose : Bookmarks.

There you choose : Speed Dial or if you want use this link :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/speed-dial/

Install that add-on to your browser. Here a quick over look what it can do :

"With Speed Dial, you can easily access your most used websites. To show the Speed Dial tab, use the Speed Dial button (which can be added to the toolbar), or enter "chrome://speeddial/content" in your location bar.

To assign one website to Speed Dial, use the new "Set as Speed Dial" option in the bookmarks menu, or right click on the tab you want to add, and choose "Set as Speed Dial". That option is also available in the contextual area menu.

Speed Dial will be automatically loaded in blank new windows. It can also load in blank new tabs. To configure this, and other options, use the extension settings panel."

It works like a QUICK LINKS button. At the end of the day you just set the bookmark ( Speed Dial ) on the last post you wrote or read and next time you just click on the speed dial button in your browser window and there you are.

Is it that what you miss ?

Hi DanPickUp,

Though it is not solving the problem ,I put it more clearly.

Thanks for Speed-dial.

Screen1:

Screen2

By using the QuickLinks of screen1 ,in normal circumstances should
give a DropDown menu. But it is giving screen.2.

So here ,we are forced to choose the option NEWPOSTS.

BY doing so ,we miss 2 things.
1.Posts by ourselves
2.Post already read.

Only TRADERJI can do something.

Happens sometimes! Short solution: reload the page, mostly works.

This generally happens if your CPU is busy or network is clogged or server load is high. The navigation bar in vbulletin is perhaps conditional to a guest vs registered user, etc, and one of the server files is not received before the page is displayed.

Is there no display of a small down arrow next to Search / Quick Links for Screen 1 in your case?

Why use firefox when google chrome is available
Google Chrome seems faster because it downloads links on pages before even it is clicked.

So, for users with pre-paid or pay-on-use or limited bandwidth .. its a no go :)

For U/l .. cool BUT still .. priority needs to be seen .. wasting bandwidth just because it is free is not a good thing ...

Google chrome is lighter and faster than Mozilla Firefox ... But I still prefer Mozilla... :)

BUT the MAIN DRAWBACK for Chrome is

Google Chrome downloads links on pages before even they are clicked generating more usage on bandwidth.
What abt users on limited bandwidth, pay-on-use & pre-paid ...

Tata Nano is cheaper, lighter, faster, gives more mileage than many more preferred/popular cars ...

Still .... :D
