Aditya I don't know ur here or not but I m 100% agree with trader111

one more thing what kind of arbitrage u want to do i commodities as spot vs. Futures is very costly . and doing comex/lme etc. vs MCX is also not easy

U can do spreads in same commodity IE. calender spreads or inter commodity spread like Lead/Zinc ,Gold/silver , N.Gas/Crude etc in MCX easily but first Learn something about statistical arbitrage .............I think that will help u in initial phase

I hear the word Arbitrage in India often
I believe there used to be TRUE arbitrage between dual listed stock ( NSE/BSE)
but with technology and HFT co location that is no longer a case for retail trader !
SO are people using the word Arbitrage for spread trading?

Arbitrage in Pure seance means capturing guaranteed profits where as Spread trading is trading of difference between 2 co related stocks/ futures etc

Somebody mentioned comex/lme etc. vs MCX Arbs!
But how is that possible in terms of execution / Tax treatment etc
Indian residents are not allowed to trade on LME
NRI's are not allowed to trade on MCX!

SO in reality is it really possible AT ALL?

What I am really getting at is
If anybody can show me exactly how such arb is possible( I have access to global markets) I will be happy to engage that person in Profit share ( No risk to the person)
However I need
- solid evidence with actual broker statements showing it is possible
- Clear cut mathematical calculations
- Clear understanding of Margins
- Comms calculations
- Trading software requirements

NOT just theory !
