Variable or fixed spread

Basically, there are two types of trading spread including variable and fixed. Which one is good for me?

Actually, it matters how much spread is the broker charging. Low spread is always expected.

In my view fixed spread is great for news, variable spread for scalping. At least this is how I organized my trading with Hotforex, each type of account for different type of trading style or strategy.
