I could be wrong , but looks like 'circular' trading to me ... see the dwindling volumes

What's news on the Fundamental front ?

I have the same feeling ... look at this 5 say chart which shows prices in upper circuit day after day, despite v low volumes (after some massive block deals last Tue). Scanty info on fundamentals ... havn't got anything so far http://finance.yahoo.com/charts#chart3:symbol=500389.BO;range=5d;indicator=volume;charttype=ohlc;crosshair=on;logscale=off;source=undefined

Also , it would help if Traderji or other experts explain for the benefit of all of us, how circular trading usually works. (Weekends are usually a good time for learning , correct ? ... specially when cricket's taking a break, and TV coverage of the Nithari killings is now on the wane)

Came across this sketchy meaning ... and have seen a few charts which look like examples, but of course one can't be sure always they are indeed scams

Not to suggest in the least that Silverline is a scam... but maybe, only worthy of further analysis ..

Hullo Agilent,
You yourself had given an explanation on circular trading in Dec 2005,while answering "what decides the opening price of a stock"Perhaps age is catching up on you.:D.just a joke

H
??? I am absolutely clear that this a operator driven scrip for sure.
.........ANOTHER one is FEDRAL GOETZE.Today it is learnt that the goddam promoter Anil Nanda has sold 7,20,000 shares at an undisclosed price on dec 26(Buisness Line).Earlier in dec06 he had off-loaded 4.95 lac shares @381.Thus 12.15 lac shares have been sold after manipulation of the price.
..........The price has been driven up from 211 to 449 in this period i.e Rs 238 per share. The Promoter makes Rs 2891.7 LACS IN THE TRANSACTION.HE HAS COMPLETELY EXITED FROM THE CO AND HOLDS JUST 774 SHARES NOW.
......... Their is plenty of proof to nail him for duping the public at large. It is not difficult to prove as well.It can be easily proved beyond shadow of doubt.:D

Its not really a penny stock, considering par value is Re 1 and not higher,

but its up again today. So its risen 40 % or so in the last 3 or 4 trading sessions.... all presumably because of news that it is getting into infrastructure etc

(In fact, by the way, they changed their name to Pentium Mercantile from Pentium Infotech, and thats why their ICICI code is PENMER )

Another turnaround seems to be BCC Fuba (CMP 10.8)... judging by chart action and last quarter results http://finance.yahoo.com/charts#chart3:symbol=517246.BO;range=5d;indicator=volume;charttype=ohlc;crosshair=on;logscale=off;source=undefined

Any info here ?

Well well well..

Pentium was locked up today at close (v heavy vols), and BCC too

over 60 % gains in a week !
http://finance.yahoo.com/charts#chart3:symbol=532117.BO;range=5d;indicator=volume;charttype=ohlc;crosshair=on;logscale=off;source=undefined

Wish I had held on to Pentium instead of encashing earlier today... still no reliable news from anyone ?

Heheh

Pentium locked in lower circuit today , below 2.8 http://finance.yahoo.com/charts#chart3:symbol=532117.BO;range=5d;indicator=volume;charttype=ohlc;crosshair=on;logscale=off;source=undefinedhttp://

Glad I got out ( on second thoughts) ..

So what do we have now ..

Here is a co ( Re 1 paid up) whose scrip starts getting tossed up from 1.5 to over 4 in a week or so ...before crashing ( correcting ?) again ?

And its not as if this is some third rate , tiny , fly by night co ... google search shows 185000 links ... and ( my hunch is ) no mention of any scam !!

See this (attachment) which may explain

Wonder if any member managed to exploit the recent massive ups and downs in this scrip
