Thanks. Let me rephrase my question. Whats the typical breakout range when stock moves from NR7

What is percentage of NR7 range. So lets say IDFC Range for NR7 days is 10. Whats the stock going to explode : 2X, 3X : How do you place the limit

My NR7 Trading experiences:

Doesn't work for all stocks : Don't use it for slow moving stocks. Go for liquid stocks for better results. Like yesterday ITC moved, Lovable had no movement.

Intraday: Works superb for intraday trading. (But one has to be in front of screen whole day for this to make it work)

Filters/Fillers: Most levels on H/L for NR7 in stocks I traded, I saw were near Support/Resistance. So there was whipsaw due to this. Moment you put in order above the H breakout, it goes up a little and then back down. So its essential to have stock specific filler/filter

Positional: For non day traders, who don't have time to sit in front of trading desk whole day, positional trade is best option. My analysis on positional is NR7 do work for positional trades (Am using Cash, no FNO).
Positional trade entry/exit have same critieon as per NR7 setup, and have seens stocks holding their positions even in falling markets.
What is needed here is patience. The NR7 breakout for long/short does not translate into profits next day. It requires holding positions for 2 to 4 days.

In my strategy, I'm using max of 5 day horizon.

In addition, I'm using NR21 to filter out the stocks from list of NR7 stocks and putting my bets on those.

Nifty Cash has met its NR7 today beating the previous range of Tuesday which now becomes NR4.

Today's Range also becomes NR21. Expecting some fireworks in the market for the next 2 trading sessions.
