Hi,

I have been researching about Technical Analysis and Fundamental Analysis. I am relatively new to the world of stock market. Based on my understanding I feel that:

1) Technical Analysis is meant for Day Traders/Short Term Traders/Intermediate traders. It is not meant for Long Term Traders.

2) For Long term traders, Fundamental Analysis is a better option.

3) For Long term traders we should concentrate only on Large Caps and quality mid Caps

I need the opinion of experienced members....I am more of a Long term trader.

Fully agree with point number 1 and 3.

Point number 2. True to some extent. But a long term investor who can with the help of technical Analysis can find good entry points ( when the market is low) and can getout when the market reverses from the top would do much much better. Select the stocks on Fundamentals and use technicals to get in and out. That would make the long term investor rich. :)
