I am sorry to interfere. in seoncd also, trend was predicted correctly.
5400CE sell was as good as shorting the market at 5350 and market fell to 5100, meaning the trend was in line
Assumed reduction in premium has to be bought back and you have preempted the sale at 80 and buying back at 40 means Rs.40 Plus
pl. correct me Mr.Columbus if i am incorrect
Thanks

How prediction was correct, if 5400CE was taken and market fell to 5100?

Hi Columbus Sir.... He had shorted 5400CE.... and since Nifty expires at 5100 the Option became worthless and he gets to keep all the premium.... :)

Re: Clarification

Hi Austin,

As pointed out our friend VIKRIT in both situations you are at PROFIT.
1.I wrongly read the situation for sell as buy, and
2.Exercise will come into picture ,not premiums.

Sitution 2. On the 20th of the same month I sell a 5400 ce @ 80 while nifty is at 5350, assuming expiry is on the 26th. Now on the 26th the Nifty stands at 5100 and i forget to buy back my option how much would IT BE AUTOMATICALLY closed for - or at what rate would the transaction be closed ?

In Situation.2, you were not wrong in guessing the trend.Say ,the expiry premium
was 40, for example. An amount (80-40)*50=2000.That means 2000 is added
to your account. In both the cases the amounts are adjusted automatically.
Please bear in mind the expiry premium are taken for example sake.

Hi adityasaraf,

Correct.Shorting CE means FALL.But shorting Options means one
should have FAT account in comparison to ordinary BUY of options.

Feb series-Day10 ,NiftySpot:5412 (44)

First time in the series the EXPIRY ZONE came into play.Expiry zone is
nothing a sub-range in Effective zone.It is (effective zone-strikes in
WHITE colour.Talking about 500 point range still now is meaningless.
Two strikes in PUT zone 5300PE & 5400PE has today added more than
Million options. All CALLS in expiry zone has shed positions today.Does
it mean people think ,enough is enough?Only tomorrow's market will
give the answer. In PUT window ,there are as many as 13 strikes
out of which 9 are less than Rs.10 and 4 are in strong contention,
as on today.

Hi Eximius,

I am unable to download from mediafire. You can use Traderji's "Manage
attachment" feature and see that the file is in .XLS format.

Ah..... Thanks eXimius for your efforts.... That Record Sheet should be helpful for tracking the change in OI during Intraday..... Wonderful.....

And one more thing..... you have put a password for the Visual Basic Code.... If you can share that as well..... No obligation, just a request... as I believe in Openness.... :)
