[...]Today the market went up to S.3 level (nifty future low was 4553) and passed beyond R4 level.(nifty future high was 4648).These are good SIGNALS only.
How can NIFTY go up to any Support level? Shouldn't it be a move down (Except of course, when moving from S(i) to S(i-1) where it is assumed S(i) < S(i-1).) Kindly clarify.

Also any particular reason for choosing Camarilla? (As an aside, see here for more on Camarilla.)

Dear SKARPIO,

Thanks for the info.Yes ,I agree there is a MISTAKE in my post.(Actually WENT UP should be read as WENT DOWN).On the day your are referring NIFTY tested r1,r2,r3,r4 and s1,s2 and s3 levels. In the BLOG mentioned by you ,he says CAMARILLA METHOD IS NOT IDEAL FOR TRADERS but I found the targets given by this method are REALASTIC .Whereas other pivots either CLASSICAL or WOODIE gives levels which are FAR apart.Perhaps on days like TODAY (20.6.08) CAMARILLA does not work because even S.4 given by this method is 4456 whereas market went far below that level.

On 20th,

R4 - 4520
R3 - 4503

S3 - 4472
S4 - 4456

I would say the most ideal set up. NF first went up to 4510 and started sliding.

Short @ 4503 & Cover @ 4472 - 31 points
Short Break Out @ 4456 Chase with Trailing SL - ~100 points .

What else to aspire for!!!

Cheers

For the same set of data of today (23.6.08) the the RANGES (Maximum-minimum) of different PIVOTS worked out to be :

Camarilla: Less 200 points
Classical: 500 points
Woodie:325 points.

Camarilla appears to be REALISTIC.
