Just a year or so ago, a regular computer (PC or Laptop) would've cost around 30k. Now not only have the prices gone up, but also one is not sure if it will last as long as the previous one.

Windows 11 will leave millions of PCs behind, and Microsoft is struggling to explain why

I wanted to buy a new one. I have an Acer i3 4th gen, 6+years old now. My hardwarewala advised me to simply get it fitted with SSD (128) for 3000Rs and ensure 3 years more :) Let's see.

Yes, the price of laptops has soared some 30-40% in last 12-15 months or so. May be because of "work from home" demand of laptops has soared.

The suggestion of hardwarewala is timely. Add an SSD (128 or 256GB) and add windows and other major softwares there and use present HDD for storage purpose

Do not prefer a Lappy, but Lightwaight and Long Battery Life should be priorities ! :)
actually i am using laptop like a regular desktop pc.... laptop's screen started flickering, so instead of replacing it, removed its screen and connected laptop to a monitor... and laptop is being charged continuously, so not worried abt battery too :)
