my mistake.. the shares wd be delivered the next day.. but there is always a chance, especcially in low liquidity counters that u do not recieve the shares.
in which case u wd have to face auction urself. this is why it is advisable to wait for dekivery in low liquidity counters, before selling them.

ps . the earlier scenario that I spoke of, when there is a gap of around an hour between payin and payout occurs when to settlements are clubbed together.
yes thats right - specially in the illiquid counters these happens quite regularly - so better to wait for the t+2 days to sell the stocks

also the BTST carries this risk
