Now ,consider a case of 2 Nifty lots and 5 Minifty lots (100 shares in both the cases).Let us assume similar ENTRY and EXIT points.Let us consider a case with a gain of 20 points. In case of Nifty Futures a total gain of 40 (2*20) is obtained whereas in case of minifty the gain will be 100 (5*20).In case of LOSS also it will be SEVERE in case of minifty.
Sir,in case of 20 points gain(/loss) in both the index futures,u will gain(/lose) similar amount.
For a 20 points gain in 2 lots in NF,the gained points are 40 points.Which is equal to 2000/-(40*50).

For a 20 points gain in 5 lots in Mini, the gained points are 100 points.Which is equal to 2000/-(100*20).

Similar in terms of losses. No severity in case of Minifty.

Hi Hari09Omkar,

Good To See You & Hope Everything Is Fine With You.

Ok Guys,

Hari Is Correct About The Returns

Now, Why MiniNifty May Have A Little Advantage Over NF For Somebody Starting Out.

1) One Can Add Since Lot Size Is Only 20 In The Upmove (Scaling UP)

2) Similarly One Can Exit In Lot Size Of 20 (Scaling Down)

There Are A Few More Points But The Above Two Should Be Sufficient For Clarity

Happy & Safe Trading

It is unwise to invest in smaller lot options, due to minimum brokerage charged. Common charges are 1% or Rs.100, whatever is maximum. Now if lot size is 50, then a mere movement of Rs.4.4 (after service tax) would push you in green (covering buy/sell legs); but if the lot size is 20 then you need a movement of 2.5XRs.4.4=Rs.11 to break-even.

If you do not have enough money, then pls stay away from Derivatives, as F&O is X-times more risky than Cash segment.

People have a fancy to burn their money in smaller lot options and I can only pity them.

Though I am not using Indiainfoline, almost all
of them follow the same steps.
In your MARKETWATCH you ADD minifty also,
just the way you add any scrip, the ONLY difference
is the type of scrip is NOT equity ,but it is
DERIVATIVE.

when i have searched for "minity" in F&O..

It so happened previously to me on a different
platform ,they have not included minifty for trading.
I wrote to them to include it and they did it.
I request you to please contact others who are
trading on the same platform as yours and take
guidance.
