Intraday Trading Technique

Today as per Open-High-Low @ 9:30

UP-TREND

Buy Stop Loss = 5904.35, Buying Area = 5920-5930,
Target = 5989.60

Target almost achieved around 9:40 (5987.90) without buying opportunity :confused:

Let us see what will happen now !!

So, Buy entry came at around 10:40-10:45 = 5930
And Target (5989.60) achieved at around 01:15

59 Points Profit !! :clapping:

Yes, I had learnt this idea from a man in Surat and have used it.

I'd just make a small technical correction to what trading.nifty has said and add a constraint. He has said (Open - Low) and (Open - High). But, Open will always be between High and Low. so formula to get +ve results will be.

Diff1 is Open - Low;
Diff2 is High - Open;

Now Filters that I've used with this:

If Either Difference is LESS THAN 1 OR is GREATER THAN 18, THEN IT IS A NO TRADE DAY!!!!
IF Diff1 (OPEN – LOW) IS GREATER THAN Diff2 (HIGH – OPEN), ENTER SHORT @ 9:30 Close.
IF Diff2 (HIGH – OPEN) IS GREATER THAN Diff1 (OPEN – LOW), ENTER LONG @ 9:30 Close.

Are you still using it? How is the success rate (in terms of %)..

Yes, this system fail miserably on a Volatile day. I had learnt this idea from a man in Surat and have used it.

Gap1 is Open - Low;
Gap2 is High - Open;

Alternatively, you can use abs function.

Now Filters that I've used with this:

If Either GAP is LESS THAN 1 OR is GREATER THAN 18, THEN IT IS
A NO TRADE DAY!!!!
IF GAP1 (OPEN – LOW) IS GREATER THAN GAP2 (HIGH – OPEN),
ENTER SHORT @ 9:30 Close.
IF GAP2 (HIGH – OPEN) IS GREATER THAN GAP1 (OPEN – LOW),
ENTER LONG @ 9:30 Close.

Welcome Dear,
We all are here for profit,
Suggestions and corrections are required to fine tune this strategy and reason to place this calculation in this forum because many mastermind are here like you.

btw I am confused with "GAP" and "abs function",
Please clarify it,

No problems

Gap is just a a short word that I've coined for referring to Open - High and High - Low; Its got no other meaning. Call it Diff1, Diff2 if that helps.

Abs is very basic mathematical function and almost all programming software have it. AFL has it. Excel has it. Look it up.

It is used to remove "-ve" from a numbers. Abs(-1) will be 1 and Abs(1)
will be 1.

You must either use Open - Low and High - Open to always get positive numbers or alternatively use Abs(Open - Low) and Abs(Open - High);

anup .... no I was not using it because I had forgotten about it. It had not performed and I had also been very undisciplined in those days, so it would be unfair on my part to put entire blame on the idea.

I will try and dig up the document and notes that I had written in those days.

Hi Friends,

On the days when watching Nifty just tires you, as it happened on 27/06/2014.
I would like to suggest the following on the Strategy given by 'Trading.Nifty':

Divide the Target in to 3 equal parts, i.e. of 33% each part!

For Example:
The Nifty Opened at 7514.20

= The 1st Target shall be as below:

= 7514.20 + 0.33% of 7514.20 = 7514.20 + 24.80 = 7539

Once the 1st Target gets achieved, we can go for the 2nd Target in the same fashion.

Counting the Stop Loss as stated by 'Trading.Nifty' is as below:
= 7514.20 - 16.80 = 7497.40
For a Buy: 7497.40 + 20 points = 7517.40 (Buying nearer 20 points from Stoploss)
The 1st Target shall remain same as explained above.

Note: But, the 1st Target of 7539 was never achieved on the day. The Highest was 7538.75.....What a pain in the ... It does happen in the market, friends!

Shall write again on some other day.

Hello Dears,

I am going to mention a technique for only Intraday Trade for Nifty Future,
This is not my invention
I came to know about it from web,
I have back tested it for few months and found interesting,
Let us experiment and do some fine tune together,

So here it is:

=> Open,High and Low @ 9:30
=> Calculate the deference between Open-high and Open-Low
=> Now find the Intraday Trend:
** If deference between Open-High is greater then Open-Low: UP-TREND
** If deference between Open-High is less then Open-Low: DOWN-TREND
=> If UP-TREND then BUY only and If DOWN-TREND then SELL only
=> Stop Loss for BUY = Open - (High - Open) - 1
and Stop Loss for SELL = Open + (Open - Low) + 1
=> BUY TARGET = Open + ( 75 % of Open)
and SELL TARGET = Open - (75 % of Open)
=> As per TREND buy or sell nearer 20 point from Stop Loss

Here is today's example:

=> @ 9:30
Open: 5860
High : 5875
Low : 5846.10

=> Deference:
** High - Open: 5875 - 5860 = 15
** Open - Low: 5860 - 5846.10 = 13.90

=> Deference from high is greater then from low ( 15 > 13.90)
So Intraday UP-TREND, so this is BUY indication

=> Stop Loss for BUY:
** Open - (High-Open)-1 = 5860 - 15 - 1 = 5844

=> Buy nearer 20 points from Stop Loss = 5860 to 5865

=> BUY-TARGET:
** Open + (75 % of Open) = 5860 + (43.95) = 5903.95

Target achieved Today :clapping:

Let us do paper trade for coming Days
