How to convert 1mt database into 5mt one

I am getting 1mt/tick data from yahoo.
Over a period, database gets bulky.
Then I have to delete old data. Instead of that, is it possible to convert old data in 5mt data and continue to get fresh data in 1mt/tick in same database?
With this I can store old data for a longer period.
Guidance is requested.

Make a separate Data folder for Newer Data instead of deleteing or tweeking the old one from 1 minute to 5 minutes. Not many have 1 minute historical data.

I had 5 minutes Nifty data from 2005,ofcourse got coruppted now, as had no back up but to keep it I had a folder for 2005 to Dec 2006 data and then again another folder for Dec 2006 to 2008 data (Dec 2006 data was in both) and Dec 2008 to 2010 and thereafter the New data now!!
