A small clarification required.

I may be wrong......
Please check the attached file.

OR....maybe a close above high is required, which did not materialise I think. Sorry for being so dumb.

PS: Are the signals already optimised? or profit trailed?

Ratan,

You didn't get a Buy as the Close wasn't above the high in that range.

Glad to know it's working.

But your query raises a doubt in my mind as to whether what you've got is really what you want. What you probably want is as follows :-

1) Locate the last swing low
2) Find the highest high in 5 days leading to the swing low (including or not including the swing low day)
3) Buy when the high in (2) is crossed on a closing basis

and vice versa for shorts.

I maybe wrong in which case off course there's no problem. :)

Regards,
Kalyan.

One main Question :)

LookBack = Param("LB-Period",4,2,20,1);

Whats this line?

I cant see the parameters 5 bars anywhere :)
where do i change it if I want to?

Ratan,

Kindly refer Amibroker User Guide whenever you have doubts in functions. All the functions are beautifully explained with clear examples there. If you aren't able to understand them, you can post here, and we can help you out.

Meanwhile, Param() function allows the user to specify the parameters for the functions. In this case, the Lookback period is made configurable. ie at runtime you can change the parameter from Parameters dialog box (Ctrl + R).

If you see the signature of Param(), the second parameter is the default value. You can change it to what ever value, you want, say to 5 in two different ways:
1. Press Ctrl + R, and change it (this is the best method)
2. Change in the AFL code.

Praveen.
